Head of Jakarta Spatial Department, Gamal Sinurat, said has followed up resident’s report on section head level official in sub-district who was alleged had traded building permit (IMB) registration form.

“I’ve received order from Jakarta Vice Governor to follow up on resident’s report sent through short text message by summoning the reported official to be questioned,” he stated, Friday (8/15).
Sinurat explained that the investigation was conducted in Jakarta Spatial Department office on Thursday (8/14) afternoon until evening. During the process, he himself led the investigation.
Citizens Still Having Difficulties Applying Online IMB“The section head denied there was practice of form trading to residents who wanted to process building permits,” he told.
As for the resident who reported this matter to Jakarta Vice Governor, the person has been contacted to come to Jakarta Spatial Department office this afternoon.
“The reporter is ready to come and give report. Thus, by next week there would be a decision reported to Jakarta Vice Governor. If proven there was violation, we assure you that the official will be dismissed from his position as section head,” uttered Sinurat.
Earlier, Jakarta Vice Governor Basuki T Purnama disclosed there are many troubled officials in Jakarta Spatial Department.
“There was a report came in saying that the sub-district spatial section head was trading (building permit) registration form. There are many players in spatial department. If there were residents asked for permit, they will be played,” he stated, Wednesday (8/13).
Thus, Basuki asked Sinurat to immediately take action and check the report. If proven, the reported official must be dismissed from his position.
“I asked Mr. Sinurat to clean (the matter). I know his name (reported official). If he was proven doing violation, dismissed him. If Sinurat couldn’t do it, he will be demoted,” asserted Basuki.
