Starting Today, Traffic Engineering Applied on Jalan DI Panjaitan

We plan to make it permanent if this traffic engineering is effective in suppressing congestion during trial period

Starting today, Monday (3/4), East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department (Sudinhub) applies traffic engineering on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Jatinegara. It is done for two weeks to suppress traffic congestion, especially in rush hours.

"We plan to make it permanent if this traffic engineering is effective in suppressing congestion during trial period," conveyed Andreas Eman, East Jakarta Sudinhub's Traffic Section Head.

During trial period, road users who want to go to Halim Perdana Kusuma can use the new U-Turn which is located 135 meters to the north from the old U-turn. While his side applies open-close system for road users from Tanjung Priok who want to use the U-turn.

"In the near future, we will direct vehicles from Tanjung Priok to take U-turn near Penas Intersection or the Old Halim. But we need time to socialize people about it in this trial period," he explained.
