South Jakarta Vice Mayor, Isnawa Adji conveyed, there were 150 participants in this contest which are divided in three classes. First class is for emerald, candy, and nemo betta fish; second flass is for halfmoon, fancy, and koi betta fish; then the third class is for giant, fancy, and koi betta fish.
"We want this event to make betta fish breeding becomes more popular," he added, Thursday (3/14).

Owners of emerald/nemo betta fish who won the first place, Dede expressed his gratefulness after working hard for taking care his betta fish until now.
"I need to monitor its water condition, feed it with mosquito larvae, and place it in 30x20 centimeters aquarium as its standard," he mentioned.
This contest was not only visited by betta hobbyists in Jakarta, but also other regions outside Jakarta. Riano Akbar (27), one of visitors who came from Bandung, West Java, stated that he came to this event to find the best betta fish.
"I came to find emerald nemo betta, especially that has exotic veiltail. Many sellers often sell beautiful bettas in event like this," he said.
