1,500 Police Deployed to Safeguard Vital Objects in E. Jakarta

As many as 1,500 personnel of East Jakarta Metro Resort Police are deployed to secure several vital objects ahead of the Constitutional Court’s ruling in the presidential election result dispute on Thursday (8/22).

Those personnel are spread in East Jakarta Sport Venue (GOR) on Jalan Otista Raya, Jatinegara with 100 personnel of National Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob), East Jakarta KPU office with 20 personnel, Pulogadung Industrial Area with 50 personnel and Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC) with 100 personnel.
Chief of East Jakarta Metro Resort Police, Sr. Comr. Mulyadi Kaharni said such security is using open-close system and will be imposed until all the conditions conducive.

He asserted that all personnel deployed until condition is conducive. They can also be shifted to secure other areas, if it is needed. Yet he expects the city remain conducive without any friction.
Meanwhile, condition in the Polonia House on Jalan Cipinang Cempedak 1 No. 29, Cipinang Cempedak, Jatinegara, looks deserted. Whereas, the house used as a winning post of Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa is often dense by Prabowo-Rajasa's supporters.
Thus far, the house is still guarded by 10 security officers.
