Karya Island People Receive Three Quintals of Seaweed Seeds

The ranks of the Thousand Islands regional military command (Koramil) gives three quintals of seaweed seeds toward residents on Karya Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands.

"Thank you for the help, I hope this can further promote seaweed cultivation on Panggang Island and become a new source of income," said Thousand Islands Vice Regent, Junaedi, Monday (4/8).

Thousand Islands Koramil Commander, Infantry Major Ali Anwar expressed that those seeds were obtained from Tidung Islands, which are originally from Bali Island.

After it is harvested, he hoped that it becomes new seeds and can be more cultivated.

"We plant them lined up along 10 meters by releasing them at the bottom of the sea level," he stated.
