Rusun Tanah Tinggi Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) or locally known as Rustanti RPTRA has owned hydroponic garden. This RPTRA is located at Tanah Tinggi Flat, RT 05/14, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta.
East Jakarta LH Sub-department Office Yard Used for Urban Farming
Rustanti RPTRA Administrator, Okraben Oematan said, last year Central Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-department gave hydroponic planting training to the locals and equipped this RPTRA with 1 set of hydroponic system with 140 holes. Then local residents add two another sets independently.
"We have used RPTRA's garden since 2018 to plant vegetables such as bok choy, organic morning glory, and pumpkin and medicinal plants such as binahong, aloe vera, bilimbi and others," he conveyed, Tuesday (4/9).
One of the residents, Jaya mentioned that medicinal plants are more preferable than vegetables since residents usually use it to make traditional medicine.
"Hopefully Rustanti RPTRA can be useful for our activities and provide more plants thus it can green the area," he expressed.
