Hydroponic Vegetables at Taman Guntur RPTRA Finally Harvested

After waiting for approximately one month, a number of vegetable seeds planted are finally harvested at the Taman Guntur child-friendly integrated public space (RPTRA), Jalan Danau Bratan, Bendungan Hilir, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

Every costumer can pick their own vegetables. We also serve orders for the types of vegetables ordered a month before

"Those vegetables are pakcoy, kale, and samhong king mustard," expressed Taman Guntur RPTRA Caretaker Coordinator, Tuwe Atika, Tuesday (3/26).

Plantation system itself uses hydroponic ranging from seedling to harvest. Each type of vegetable has a different harvest period.

"Pakcoy and samhong king mustard are harvested after 30 days. Especially for kale, it takes 25 days," she told.

It has been carried out since two years. In early this year, she had harvested twice.

Her party managed to harvest 1.5 kg of kale and 6.5 kg of pakcoy and samhong king mustard and then sold to the consumers who are mostly visitors of the park.

"500 gram of kale with three bags are sold at Rp 10,000 per bag, 500 grams of pakcoy with 13 bags Rp 10,000 per bag, 500 grams of samhong king mustard with 13 bags Rp 10,000 per bag," she expressed.

"Every costumer can pick their own vegetables. We also serve orders for the types of vegetables ordered a month before," she stated.
