Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) uses museums in Jakarta to hold various arts and cultural events to attract more visitors. Especially museums located in Kota Tua, such as Jakarta History Museum or locally known as Fatahillah Museum.

Disparbud's Jakarta History Museum Management Unit Head, Sri Kusumawati mentioned to hold 40 theatrical performances at Jakarta History Museum this year.
"It will be held every weekends. This April, we perform story of Prince Diponegoro," she said.
According to her, theatrical performance makes it easier for visitors to understand about history which is documented or exhibited in museum.
