Improving Air Quality in Jakarta, Anies to Test Electric-Powered Transjakarta Buses Operational

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan wants air pollution in Jakarta to keep reducing. One of the solutions is to facilitate and encourage more people to prefer using public transportation than private cars.

We will test electric-powered Transjakarta buses operational in May 2019

"We should improve public transportation facilities thus air pollution rate in Jakarta can be reduced. Air quality in this city could be worse if it is still dominated by private cars," he conveyed at City Hall, Tuesday (4/15).

Jakarta Government continues to improve public transport system and integration by developing Jak Lingko to reach all Jakarta areas. His side also innovates to use Eco-friendly public transports.

City Wants Integration to Overcome Air Pollution

"We will test electric-powered Transjakarta buses operational in May 2019," he explained.
