City Hall Provides Three Electronic Waste Drop Boxes

We treat electronic waste differently to prevent it from polluting the environment

Jakarta Environment Department has placed three electronic waste (e-waste) drop boxes in Block G Lobby, Block H Ground Floor, and near ATM Gallery at City Hall, Central Jakarta.

Jakarta Environment Department's Hazardous and Toxic (B3) Waste Management Section Head, Rosa Ambarwati explained, e-waste drop box facilitates employees who want to toss their electronic waste such as mobile phone, battery, charger, camera, cable, CD, USB, and others.

LH Department Wants to Be Intensive in Monitoring Environmental Problems

"We treat electronic waste differently to prevent it from polluting the environment," she conveyed, Tuesday (4/16).

By so, her side wants to motivate other building managements in Jakarta to also conduct the same system.

"In City Hall, e-waste drop box monitoring is held once a week and waste transporting is done once a month. It depends on how many waste collected in the box. But we will do transporting when the box is already full though it is less than a month," she said.
