Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo is going to hand out his resignation letter next week.

It is conducted following the verdict announced by the Constitutional Court (MK) that rejects all lawsuits filed by president and vice president candidate number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa, and determines candidate number 2, Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla, as elected Indonesia president and vice president for period of 2014-2019.
“My resignation letter is being processed,” told Jokowi at City Hall, Friday (8/22).

“Waiting for a good time. Could be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday,” he said.
According to Jokowi, he also still has to wait for the inauguration of the new Jakarta Parliament (DPRD) members and the election of new DPRD chairman.
“There is that process, so (I) wait,” he stated.
