City Opens Cheap Bazaars on Eight Island Settlements

The Jakarta Provincial Government has opened low-priced bazaars to sell subsidized basic goods on eight island settlements, Thousand Islands. It has been since May 4 until July 31.

It is expected to be able to equalize prices on the island by land

In the operation, the city is selling various basic cooking materials such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, beef, wheat flour, instant noodle, garlic, packaging drinks, red onions, etc, all at low prices.

"It is expected to be able to equalize prices on the island by land," stated Economic and Financial Assistant, Sri Haryati, Monday (5/6).

Those eight island settlements are Pramuka, Panggang, Harapan, Kelapa, Tidung, Untung, Pari and Lancang.

"It is targeted to finish development of Jak Grosir on Tidung Island by the end of June," he stated.
