Next Year, C. Jakarta Will Have 8 Nail-Sweeper Cars

The Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department plans to buy 8 nail-sweeper cars in order to sterilize nail traps on the streets, including Presidential Palace area on Jalan Merdeka Utara. Based on the data of beritajakarta.com, besides Presidential Palace, a number of points are also prone to nail traps crime, namely Senen, Harmoni, Roxy, Cideng, and Salemba areas.

Head of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Syamsuddin explained one of places prone to nail traps is many tire repair workshop. Approximately the nail has a length of 2-5 centimeters. "Next year, we will propose a budget for purchase of nail-sweeper cars. As planned, each sub-district would have one car," he told, Saturday (8/23).

According to him, thus far, the nail-sweeper car is only owned by the Jakarta Transportation Department and has not been provided at the sub-deparment level. Thus, his sub-department cannot be able to combate nail traps in his area optimally. 

Central Jakarta Needs Nail-Sweeper Car

"Next year, all maintainance activities at department level will be taken over by sub-department. We want residents to be patient," he exclaimed.

He furthered that he will coordinate with police and Satpol PP officers to combat nail trap spreaders in Central Jakarta. By so, its handling is hoped able to run optimally.

"For public service, everyone can combat nail trap spreaders. This means, the role of resident is also needed," he exclaimed.
