Knitted Hyacinth Bag from North Jakarta

As one of the tourist destinations in the capital, North Jakarta is now beginning to seriously promote the knitted hyacinth bags as a souvenir typical of North Jakarta.

North Jakarta Mayor, Heru Budi Hartono stated at this time, tourists visiting North Jakarta can easily get knitted hyacinth bag. They could find it at several shopping centers, such as 2nd floor of Artha Gading Mall.

Besides knitted bag, he furthered, another souvenir that can be taken home by tourists is mangrove fruit syrup.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Priok Dam Craftsman, Arsono as one of the manufacturers of knitted hyacinth bags admitted he felt happy and appreciate with the wishes of North Jakarta Administration which will promote homemade crafts as souvenirs typical of North Jakarta. 

"We hope the promotion and its marketing can run well thus it would help his economy and the other knitted bag artisans," he expected.
