There are also several countries invited which have experience in implementing urban agriculture, namely New York, London, Toronto, Seoul, and the host, Tokyo.

The city will send a delegation, one of which will be to invite a competent urban agriculture activist.

"We have three candidates and will be chosen one to come with us," disclosed Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Agency's Agriculture Division Head, Diah Meidianti, Wednesday (5/22).

She explained that it would be an exchange of experience, information relating to the development of urban farming in big cities.

"I also hope that there will be new technology transfer and experience to make our urban farming much better," she hoped.

Nevertheless Jakarta has a good innovation and breakthrough to develop farming with limited land.

"We apply the concept of hydroponics, fruit plants in pots, to conventional users for sleeping land," she told.

Moreover, the international world very appreciates this concept, considering Jakarta has sent commodities of condet bark and walnut to be cultivated at Botani Park, Seoul.

"Of course we're proud. So, through this partnership, we have proven to contribute," she said.
