PDIP Crowned as Newly Head of Jakarta DPRD

According to the government regulation, the elected head and vice of Jakarta DPRD Head is tentative. Temporary head on discipline of DPRD consists of 1 head and 1 vice from the highest political seat, namely PDIP and followed by Gerindra

The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and Gerindra Party were finally crowned as temporary Head and Vice Head of Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD), following the post-inauguration of 106 DPRD members period 2014-2019, Monday (8/25). The decision is strengthened by Decree of the Home Ministry No. 171-3343/2014 on the inauguration of Jakarta DPRD member.

"According to the government regulation, the elected head and vice of Jakarta DPRD Head is tentative. Temporary head on discipline of DPRD consists of 1 head and 1 vice from the highest political seat, namely PDIP and followed by Gerindra," said Jakarta City Council Secretary, Mangara Pardede, Monday (8/25).

106 Jakarta DPRD Members Inaugurated

Such temporary head and vice posts are given to Jhony Simanjuntak of PDIP Party and its vice post given to M Taufik of Gerindar Party.

In the Plenary Meeting, was attended by Jakarta Governor, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama. Yet the Home Minister, Gamawan Fauzi, was not present.

The amount of seats for DPRD member period 2014-2019 is 106 seats, comprising PDIP (28 seats) and followed by Gerindra (15 seats), PKS (11 seats), Democratic (10 seats), PPP (10 seats), Hanura (10 seats), Golkar (9 seats), PKB (6 seats), Nasdem (5 seats), and PAN (2 seats). While, PBB and PKPI did not get seat.
