East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Gatot Sulaeman stated that there were 170 fire cases took place in West Jakarta Jakarta since January until mid-June.

113 out of them are triggered by electricity short-circuit, followed by stove with 20 cases, cigarette with 1 case and other triggers with 36 cases

In those fire cases, his side deployed around 530 fire trucks with zero victims.

"113 out of them are triggered by electricity short-circuit, followed by stove with 20 cases, cigarette with 1 case and other triggers with 36 cases," he expressed, Thursday (6/13).

He furthered that fire destroyed 52 houses, 20 public buildings, 14 vehicles, 3 stalls, garbage in 5 locations, etc. In total, it has caused a loss around Rp 18.7 billion.

"Seeing this we urge people to be more vigilant," he stressed.
