The Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency is holding a technical mentoring session (bimtek) titled "Concern for the Tourism Industry Against the Disabled".

It is participated by 150 people who are tourism industry actors starting from hotels, restaurants and tourist attraction objects.

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency Head, Edy Junaedi said that it aims to empower and increase the knowledge of tourism business actors in providing services and comfort to disability.

"Tourism industry is part of the tourism pillar so this is the time to become a pioneer and driver of concern for disabled," he expressed, Tuesday (6/25).

It has a very wide multiplayer effect, so it must provide protection, friendliness and equality of service to them that can be realized in aspects of public facilities and services.

"Improved accessibility for disabled in all areas should be our common commitment," he stressed.

Tourism Industry Division Head, Toni Bako added that it encourages the care of tourism entrepreneurs. There are several important things in the tourism industry, namely, improving product quality, service quality, including standard-based tourism management.

"It needs to be supported by a prime service," he stated.
