City Establishes Cooperation with University of Paramadina

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan along with Paramadina University Rector, Professor Firmanzah, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Jakarta Provincial Government at the Hall Paramadina University, Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (5/26) afternoon.

Its memorandum contains the cooperation of government and education in the application of the tri dharma of higher education, namely education, research and community service.

"Through this MoU, I hope that there will be many more activities carried out together. We also want to say thank you to those who participate to help educating our citizens, including through the Paramadina Social Responsibility program. Because this is indeed one of the biggest problems that we face lately regarding our kids who cannot finish education," he told.
He appreciates cooperation in terms of education and training that has been running from Paramadina University to officers and employees of PT Transjakarta through the Capacity Building program.
Moreover there are still many who have not yet obtained a bachelor or master degree in accordance with their fields.
"This is an opportunity for the campus to provide the types of certified training that can equip those in the workforce to take certification programs, not just degree programs," he stated.
In addition, the university has conducted a teaching program for children in Thousand Islands. The study and research programs are hoped to improve the government system in the city government.
There is joint agreement between the city and Paramadina University includes the implementation of teaching and learning; research, training and consultation; and the implementation of community service activities.
As for the information, the city has been cooperating with other higher education institutions such as Universities of Indonesia and Bogor Agricultural Institute, including Paramadina University is one of the Private Universities that collaborates with the city.
