Jakarta Inflation Controlling Team (TPID) held High Level Meeting at City Hall to review and evaluate work program planning for the second semester of this year.
Our plan is to invite all TPIDs from greater Jakarta areas to discuss about this thing around middle of first or second week of July
This meeting wa
s attended by Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah; Head of Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative of Jakarta, Hamid Ponco Wibowo; PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (FSTJ) Operational Director, Frans M. Tambunan; and Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department Head, Darjamuni. Food Station Visited by Yogyakarta TPID for Comparative StudyBased on reports from Jakarta KPKP Department, PT. FSTJ, PD. Dharma Jaya, Perumda Pasar Jaya, and BI representative office in Jakarta, evaluation result on the first semester of 2019 is considered good and satisfying.
"From the analysis reports collected from Bank Indonesia and Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD)s, we can say that our stock is good in general. But, there are some commodity supplies that need to be anticipated in the future," said Jakarta Secretary's Economy and Financial Assistant, Sri Haryati on the location, Wednesday (6/26).
Thus her side plans to build synergy with TPID from other cities such as Bogor, Bekasi or Tangerang to discuss about cooperation that can be done to suppress inflation in Jakarta and greater Jakarta regions.
"Our plan is to invite all TPIDs from greater Jakarta areas to discuss about this thing around middle of first or second week of July," she added.
Besides building synergy with other TPIDs, her side will also continue intensifying food subsidy program and cheap market operation to suppress inflation in Jakarta.
"We need to intensify food subsidy program since meat demand in Jakarta is about 140-180 tons per day and also 2,700-3,000 tons for rice," she asserted.
