Locals Appreciate Thousand Islands Inter-Island Boat Service

Ticket price is affordable only Rp 40,000 plus Rp 2,000 for insurance

The operation of inter-island boat in the Thousand Islands gets a positive response from local citizens. Its existence is deemed able to ease the cost of citizens' transportation.

As stated by Miftah (35), one of Tidung Island citizens, South Thousand Islands admitted that it is very helpful, moreover the boat's seat is very comfortable.

"Ticket price is affordable only Rp 40,000 plus Rp 2,000 for insurance," he expressed, Wednesday (7/3).

"We just await the boat at the Tidung and Payung islands' piers according to the ship's route departing from Pramuka Island," he stated.

But he hopes the boat could depart early at 7 AM from the Pramuka Island Pier as it often comes late at Tidung Island.

Jakarta Transportation Agency's Water Transportation and Port Management Unit (UP APK) Head, M Faris Budiman uttered that the type of boat is KM Kerapu I-VI with capacity of 20 passengers.

"Previously these boats operated from Kali Adem Port to Thousand Islands," he said.
