Good News, Transportation Access to Thousand Islands is Getting Easier

Jakarta Provincial Government continues to conduct various efforts in attracting tourist towards recreational sites in Thousand Islands. One of them is by providing easy access transportation from Jakarta to Thousand Islands.

Through speedboats, we're ready to serve all residential islands including the outermost islands

Water Transportation and Port Management Unit Head, M Faris Budiman said that there are at least 1 ASDP boat, 25 traditional boats and 6 speedboats that are ready to serve tourist.

Pier Construction in Seribu Islands must Be Accelerated

"Through speedboats, we're ready to serve all residential islands including the outermost islands, Sebira Island," he expressed, Tuesday (7/2).

Those speedboats are KM Indra, KM Kemala, KM Samudra Biru, KM Chabing Nusantara, KM Dewandra and KM Bathara.

For the routes, three boats are for Muara Angke - Untung Jawa Island - Pari Island - Pramuka Island - Tidung Island with ticket price at Rp 40,000 per person plus platform at Rp 2,000 and insurance Rp 2,000. 

While the two boats are for Muara Angke - Lancang Island - Payung Island - Tidung Island with ticket price at Rp 50,000 plus platform Rp 2,000 and insurance Rp 2,000 and another one is for Kali Adem - Kelapa Island - Sebira Island with ticket price at Rp 70,000 plus platform Rp 2,000 and insurance Rp 2,000.

"We also have six other speedboats, namely KM Kerapu I-VI that functions as a feeder serving inter-islands for the residents of Thousand Islands," he added.

They serve inter-islands from Tidung Island - Pramuka Island and from Kelapa Island - Pramuka Island or vice versa with ticket price at Rp 40,000. Mostly passengers are workers or state civil apparatuses (ASN) with departure schedule at 7 AM and 10 AM.

Even his side will continue to optimize sea transportation service through new innovations, like by placing female flight attendants in each boat in order to help and guide passengers and develop a ticket sales system online.

For online tickets, will be launched in 2020 in line with the completion of the Kali Adem pier construction.

As for the information, the Kali Adem Port, Penjaringan, North Jakarta is still under total renovation stage and is targeted to be complete in 2020.

For the safety and comfort, the port will apply modern system at the airport or Tanjung Priok Port where the location of parking, passenger drop-offs and pier entrances will be made separately.
