In February-June 2019 period, Central Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Sub-department has issued 1,792 temporary domicile certificates (SKDS) for newcomers in Central Jakarta.

Central Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-department Head, Remon Mastadian mentioned, SKDS is given for newcomers who want to stay in Jakarta temporarily. Through SKDS, his side also registers newcomers personal data, such as their origin place and current address.
"SKDS validity period is only one year. If newcomers wants to stay longer, they should re-register to the local Dukcapil by bringing photocopies of their identity card (KTP) and family card (KK) in order to get new SKDS," he explained, Friday (7/19).
His side continues to remind newcomers who plan to stay temporarily or move to inform to the local Dukcapil office for administration purpose.
