Regency to Facilitate PKT Members Distributing Their Products
Central Jakarta Nakertrans Sub-department Head, Fidiyah Rokhim said, 100 residents of Gambir and Tanah Abang Sub-districts joined this training which is started since July 15, 2019. They learn how to create accessories and patchwork at Kenanga Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) and Hati Suci RPTRA.
"Participants learn how to make patchwork slippers, drawstring bag, brooch, and necklace," she mentioned, Saturday (7/20).
According to her, employment opportunities in informal sector is wide open. Thus her side opens PPTKM to train residents thus they can open new work opportunities in Central Jakarta while improving the local economy.
"We want to train them how to make patchwork into a variety of interesting products that are useful and have value. Besides we hope this training can improve their income," she asserted.
