Like to Eat Fish Campaign Targets 6,200 Students in North Jakarta

This is a positive action in getting people to consume fish from an early age

The North Jakarta Administration intensifies Like to Eat Fish campaign to 31 elementary schools in six sub-districts. It is targeted to reach 6,200 students.

"This is a positive action in getting people to consume fish from an early age," disclosed North Jakarta Vice Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim, Wednesday (7/24).

He explained that fish has good substances ranging from protein, vitamins until omega 3 that are very good for child development and increase intelligence.

It can also increase the family's economic value by selling interesting processed fish food consumed, moreover North Jakarta is a coastal area that is rich in fish in the sea and empowerment of fishpond seeds.

"Hopefully many people will be more aware of eating fish. Parents must be an example of consumption of fish for kids," he exclaimed.

North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency Head, Rita Nirmala explained that it is more dedicated to school students.

"Today we have 600 students from three different schools. We'll do campaign up to the forthcoming September,' she stated.
