Jakarta TPID Awarded as The Best in Java and Bali

In Inflation Control National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) held on last Thursday (7/25), Jakarta Government through Jakarta Inflation Control Team (TPID) was awarded as the best province in Java and Bali in controlling inflation in Tim Pengendali Inflasi Daerah (TPID) Award 2019 event.

Jakarta Secretary's Economy and Financial Assistant, Sri Haryati conveyed, government has implemented several strategies to maintain inflation rate in Jakarta in 2018, for example is to build cooperation with Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in food sector such as PD. Dharma Jaya, Perumda Pasar Jaya, and PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya (FSTJ).

"Meeting is scheduled every Thursday by inviting all BUMDs in food sector, related SKPDs, and Bank Indonesia's Jakarta representative office. We discuss about maintaining price stability in Jakarta," she explained, Sunday (7/28).

In order to maintain price stability, Jakarta TPID has a role to build cooperation with other regions in food sector.

"We also routinely hold cheap food market operation in several locations in Jakarta. It helps to maintain staple food prices stability," she added.
