Senen Market Blok III Construction Targeted to Finish in 2015

After greatly ravaged by fire four months ago, Senen Market Blok III, Central Jakarta, is now rebuilt by PD Pasar Jaya. The project, that allocates budget as much as Rp Rp 300 billion, is targeted to finish at the end of 2015.

“The construction of Senen Market has been started last week. For this project, we prepared budget Rp 300 billion. Later, the market will be equipped with a hotel and connected with train station as well as TransJakarta bus stops,” stated PD Pasar Jaya President Director, Djangga Lubis, Friday (8/29).

At this time, the construction work is focused on parking lot which will be trading area for Blok III traders. Now, the traders are still occupying temporary shelter in Blok IV.

“The parking lot is scheduled to finish in two months. After that, the traders can occupy the area,” told Lubis.

Meanwhile, Senen Market Blok III Manager, Royani, said that in upcoming early November the traders who become fire victims can be moved to temporary shelter in front of Blok III. Besides three-starred hotel, Senen Market Blok III will also be equipped with parking lot that can accommodate 500 cars and thousands of motorcycles.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, two backhoes are spotted in the construction site. They are deployed to dig some locations where poles will be installed.
