Ciracas Water Resources (SDA) Unit sow 40 kilograms deogone powder on Bhineka Connecting (PHB) channel at RW 09, Ciracas Urban Village, East Jakarta. It is done as requested by the locals to eliminate unpleasant smell comes from the channel.

Ciracas SDA Unit Head, Ika Nurfitria Sari conveyed, previously deogone powder has been used to eliminate unpleasant smell from Kali Item (black river) that mostly caused by liquid waste and rotting garbage on the channel.

"We use it to eliminate microbes of putrid liquid waste in water. This powder is made from calcium oxide, rice husk and wood fungus," she explained, Tuesday (8/6).
