 Gubernur Luncurkan Aplikasi e-Uji Emisi

Anies Lauches Integrated e-Uji Emisi App

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan launches e-Uji Emisi application as well as monitors emission testing process which is implemented for office's operational cars and JakLingko public transports at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (8/7).

I appreciate this innovation and hope it could encourage all of us to take a part in improving air quality

According to him, this app will be integrated with Jakarta vehicle emission testing database thus car owners and officers can monitor recent emission testing result of each vehicles digitally only by inputting vehicle's registration plate number.

"Besides, this application has many features that inform users about emission testing, emission testing regulations, and nearest workshop that has emission testing service," he added.

He expects this application can facilitate people to know the location where they can do emission testing.

"In Jakarta, there are only around 150 car workshops that can perform emission test. We need to add more," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Conference.

In this launching, he informs that e-Uji Emisi app is now connected with vehicle tax system, parking, and Jakarta Smart City. It means, car owners who haven't done emission testing can't apply for vehicle registration renewal, and find difficulties in paying parking fee, vehicle tax and others.

"We will be tolerant only for this year. But in 2020, we will be strict and provide administrative services only for vehicles that have undergone emission testing," he asserted.

He reminds all motor vehicles which are operating in Jakarta, both owned by Jakartans or people outside Jakarta, should pass the vehicle emission testing.

"I appreciate this innovation and hope it could encourage all of us to take a part in improving air quality. Air quality is determined by how many gas residues or pollutant generated from all economy industries, such as from factories and motor vehicles. So, let's reduce the pollutant and control the air quality to be better," he mentioned.

For information, vehicle emission testing policy is mentioned in Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 2/2005 regarding Air Pollution Controlling, especially in article 19 that regulates motor vehicles to produce emission gas below the limit. According to Jakarta Environment (LH) Department's data, 193,417 vehicles or around 5.5 percent of total private cars in Jakarta which have undergone emission testing.

LH Department has socialized car workshops related emission testing procedures and tested e-Uji Emisi app. Currently, there are 155 car workshops which provide emission testing that have been integrated with application.

Moreover, LH Department targets to hold emission testing roadshow program in several regions such as goes to office, goes to mall, goes to campus programs that will be done to socialize e-Uji Emisi app and policies for air quality improvement in Jakarta.
