"From 669 turtles, 250 out of them were released into the wild," he expressed, after being met at the conservation and education site on Sebira Island, Monday (8/19).

Erik, one of volunteers from the local village admitted, he previously liked to take turtle eggs to sell and consume for his stamina and vitality.

But he left his habit after getting education from Agung in which hawksbill already threatened with extinction by humans and other predatory animals.

This woke him up to join as a volunteer at the conservation site in 2015 with five of his colleagues.

"After fishing, I took the time to take care for hatchlings and this conservation site," he said.
