Parking Lots Prepared for JMF

Jakarta Transportation Department prepares several parking areas to acommodate vehicles visiting Jakarta Muharram Festival (JMF) that is held today's evening at Bundaran Hotel Indonesia.

Syafrin Liputo, agency's head, said those parking areas are at IRTI Monas, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Plaza Mandiri, and Parkir Timur Senayan or Gelora Bung Karno (GBK).

"IRTI Monas is able to acommodate 200 cars and 1,200 motorcycles, Jalan Imam Bonjol 600 motorcyles, Plaza Mandiri 90 cars and 120 motorcycles, Parkir Timur Senayan 1,400 cars and 2,700 motorcycles," he said, Saturday (8/31).

Syafrin hopes visitors from Parkir Timur Senayan to continue their trip to the venue by using Transjakarta bus or MRT after parking their vehicles there.

"It's more efficient. Better to avoid looking for parking lot near Bundaran HI. It should be more crowded," he added.

According to him, those parking lots used for this event are 100 percent ready for use.

"We are ready with the parking lot. Visitors are also able to use Transjakarta and MRT," he closed.
