Mookevart Riverbank Residents Will Be Relocated to Flats

Despite getting rejection from the building owners, the demolition of houses on the bank of Mookevart River, RW 02, Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-District, West Jakarta, keeps being accelerated. Even so, they should not be worried because Jakarta Provincial Government will relocate them to some flats in West Jakarta.

Moreover, Effendi explained that those houses are demolished for inspection road construction work. The project is accelerated because it has become city’s priority program to resolve traffic congestion on Jalan Daan Mogot.
Jalan Inspeksi Kali Mookevart ConcretedAccording to the master plan which has been made, the road width is 20 meters. From that number, 10 meters become the responsibility of Jakarta Provincial Government, while 10 others is developer’s responsibility.
“Jakarta Provincial Government has finished 7.5 meters, the rest will be built gradually,” he told.
Meanwhile, West Jakarta Administration Secretary, Syamsuddin Lologao, said that for the residents who are affected by this project, West Jakarta Administration will still protect their rights. However, they must first show their lands’ documents for landownership proofs.
“If they had land certificates, hand it to us to be processed,” he uttered.
