Social assistance funds through Jakarta Disability Card (KPDJ) are very felt by the disabled people and its families.
As experienced by a disabled person from Mampang Prapatan Urban Village, Mampang Prapatan Sub-district, Suheri (41) said that it is very useful to meet his needs.

The card was obtained after passing through a verification process from the Mampang Prapatan Sub-district social unit through the Integrated Database (BDT).
"I still remember I was visited and interviewed. I also got an offer to attend a massage private class for the blind," he told.
Similar statement was also put forward by Suhana, the parents of the card recipient, Muhammad Dafi who is a child with special needs. Her son receives assistance funds by Rp 300,000 per month and it is very helpful to meet Dafi's needs.
"Especially to buy diapers. In a day, he could spend three diapers. Moreover my husband is a parking attendant with uncertain income," she admitted.
She hoped that the Jakarta Provincial Government could facilitate the card recipients to travel for free.
"I would love to take my kid to Ragunan Zoo or Dufan, never been there," she hoped.
In the meantime, Mampang Prapatan Sub-district Social Executing Unit Head, Sumadi added that the number of the card recipients based on BDT is 109 people from five urban villages.
"To take the money, they can come to Bank DKI office once every three months," he stated.
