PT. Transjakarta reached an agreement with Koantas Bima Cooperative for transportation service purchasing on Thursday (9/5).
PO is issued for total 36 bus units
PT. Transjakarta Service and Development Director, Achmad Izzul Waro conveyed, his side has issued Purchase Order (PO) for 36 Koantas Bima buses as Transjakarta's vendor. Thus his side expects to operate Koantas Bima bus starting next year.
"PO is issued for total 36 bus units based on quota that has been stipulated by Jakarta Transportation Department," he informed.
Transjakarta Eyes Non-ticket IncomeUsing this service purchasing scheme, he explained, Koantas Bima bus drivers will operate without having to look for as many passengers as possible to pay their rent.
"We will pay the bus drivers based on kilometers rate. It is around Rp 13 thousand per kilometers," he stated.
His side plans to operate Koantas Bima buses in several locations or based on operational controller at central office.
"It might be placed in all corridors, or only in one region. It is still not clear yet since it depends on the operation plan," he said.
