The residents who live at the west side of Pluit Reservoir, North Jakarta, are now in confuse state because their houses, which have been inhabited for years, are going to be demolished. However, they still have not been socialized about this matter yet.

Muhammad Otong (37), resident of Blok F, RT 19/17, Penjaringan Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-District, North Jakarta, admitted he has heard about this information since a long time ago. But if the demolition to be done this month, he has not heard of it yet.
“I did hear the discourse on demolition since a long time ago. But, it never happens. If it was going to be done this month, we really don’t know,” he said, Thursday (9/4).
Hundreds of Houses at Pluit Reservoir West Side to Be DemolishedResponding on this matter, North Jakarta Deputy Mayor, Tri Kurniadi, explained that North Jakarta Administration has not done socialization on land acquisition of 200 houses in Penjaringan because there are many things to be solved first.
“Later. Now we’re working on execution for Priok Toll Access (ATP) construction project,” he told.
Even so, Kurniadi stressed that the socialization will still be done so the land acquisition at the west side of Pluit Reservoir can be carried out immediately. But, he cannot confirm when the time would be.
“Maybe after this (execution for ATP construction project). One thing for sure is that the demolition of houses at the west side of Pluit Reservoir will be conducted this month,” he stated.
According to Kurniadi, North Jakarta Administration is also still waiting for the finishing of flat construction as relocation place for the residents affected by the development process. Thus, when the flat construction has finished, the residents can directly be relocated.
