Last week, Jakarta Government provided bike lane and bike parking area at Senen Bus Terminal, Central Jakarta.
Bike lane and parking lot are added in terminal as our effort in supporting air quality improvement
Senen Bus Terminal Service Unit Head, Joni Budhi said this bike lane has 200 meters long from terminal entrance gate to exit gate. While bike parking area is located in front of terminal management office which is guarded by his personnel.
"We have two teams who work in two shifts, 7 AM- 2 PM and 2 PM-8 PM. While there are also security guards who guard the location until midnight," he said, Tuesday (10/9).
New Bike Lane for Jakartans in Kampung Melayu TerminalMoreover, his side also plans to add other facilities in terminal such as spot for coffee break, waiting lounge, toilet, and Wi-Fi.
"Bike lane and parking lot are added in terminal as our effort in supporting air quality improvement and encourage people to implement healthy lifestyle that is also eco-friendly," he asserted.
His side will install banners to socialize people about bike lane and parking area in terminal. Thus more people could be interested to use bicycle and use those facilities.
"People can give us inputs about other facilities that need to be provided in terminal. If possible, we will add it," he said.
