Betawi Accoustic Festival Competition to Be Held with Total Prize Rp 30 Million

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) through Pavillion and Graha Wisata Unit holds Betawi Accoustic Festival Competition with total prize Rp 30 million at Jakarta Pavillion, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), on September 14-15, 2019.

Winners will get cash prize, trophy, and award certification

Jakarta Disparbud's Pavillion and Graha Wisata Unit Head, Fadlan Zuhran conveyed, there are about 30 participants or groups who will compete in this event. Each group should play two songs, selected folk song and random song.

Regarding folk song, they need to choose one song between Keroncong Kemayoran, Sirih Kuning, Sang Bango, Nonton Bioskop, and Surilang. While for random song, they can choose their own song or someone else's rearranged song.

"We give maximum 15 minutes for each participants to play two songs including sound checking. Those who are exceeded the time will get minus points on their score," he explained, Thursday (9/12).

Participants are allowed to bring their own musical instruments based on their needs such as tehyan, sukong, flute, and others. While committees provide one unit of guitar, contrabass, cajon, conga, bongo, drum.

"Winners will get cash prize, trophy, and award certification," he added.

For information, this competition is opened for public with criteria: participants shouldn't above 40 years old, one group contains of minimal 5 members or maximum 7 members, domicilled in Jakarta, have Jakarta KTP (ID card), have Bank DKI accounts and NPWP.
