Some 40 personnel of East Jakarta Water Regency Zone Management Unit have been deployed to clean up trash in the East Flood Canal (KBT) area in East Jakarta, on Monday (9/16).
"They have been alerted since 8 AM and will finish at 3 PM. We do this to minimize flooding," expressed East Jakarta Water Regency Zone Management Unit Head, Leo Tantino.
KBT Area Cleaned from PKL StallsIt is carried out up to five kilometers, precisely from Cipinang Besar Selatan Bridge, Jatinegara until Pondok Kopi Bridge Duren Sawit.
After this cleanup action, trash transported would be disposed to the Bantargebang Landfill, West Jakarta.
"Our hope is the KBT can accommodate water in large quantities and smoothen water flow," he hoped.
