Traffic Engineering Applied for Electric Vehicle Convoy
Jakarta Provincial Government through its Transportation Agency will conduct electric vehicle convoy Friday afternoon (9/20) at 3 PM to 5 PM. The event is held to greet Formula E 2020 in Jakarta. The convoy is started from Parkir Timur Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) towards National Monumen (Monas), Central Jakarta.
Buildings are Asked to Provide Bicycle ParkingThe convoy routes are Parkir Timur Senayan - Jl. Pintu 1 Senayan - Jl. Jenderal Sudirman - Jl. M.H. Thamrin - turns right at Kuda Arjuna Wiwaha Statue and ends in Monas through Silang Monas Barat Daya gate.
Traffic engineering will be applied for those routes situationally, and no vehicles can pass the route during the convoy. Traffic from the south (Blok M/Senayan) is not allowed to pass the convoy. They must stay at the back.
The alternative routes should be: Jl. Asia Afrika/ Jl. Pintu 1 Senayan - Jl. Gerbang Pemuda - Jl. Jenderal Gatot Subroto - Jl. KS. Tubun - Jl. S. Parman toward Tomang - Jl. Tomang Raya - Jl. Kyai Caringin - Jl. Balikpapan - Jl. Suryopranoto - and etc. The odd-even policy remains applied. Traffic from the north (Jl. M.H. Thamrin) heading to south (Jl. Jenderal Sudirman) will be normal. Transjakarta bus is also operate normally.
Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, Syafrin Lupito hopes Jakartans will find alternative routes to smooth their activity.
