In January-September 2019 period, East Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Sub-department has issued 447,628 Children Identity Card (KIA)s.

We are optimistic to achieve our target by the end of this year

East Jakarta Dukcapil Sub-department Head, Sukma Wijaya mentioned, his side has issued 447,628 KIAs or around 48 percent of the potential number of East Jakartans who are eligible for KIA which are more than 900 thousand children.

"From total target 900 thousand children, 447,628 KIAs have been issued. We are optimistic to achieve our target by the end of this year ," he asserted, Monday (9/23).

According to him, those KIAs are made for children in 10 sub-districts. For detail, his side has issued 24,206 KIAs in Matraman Sub-district; 40,048 KIAs in Pulogadung; 34,595 KIAs in Jatinegara; 49,845 KIAs in Kramat Jati; 37,147 KIAs in Pasar Rebo; 73,681 KIAs in Cakung; 59,241 KIAs in Duren Sawit; 38,671 KIAs in Makasar; 45,619 KIAs in Ciracas; and 44,575 KIAs in Cipayung.

In order to achive this year's target, his side plans to cooperate with schools to hold door-to-door service thus his side can collect children's data and issue KIA on the spot and open service at Children-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RPTRA)s.

"Besides, we will cooperate with RSUD type A, B, private hospital, and hospital managed by central government to support Sidukun program and Population Service Integrated System," he explained.

He mentioned, now KIA issuance can be done at urban village office, sub-district office, and Dukcapil Sub-department office.

In average, each urban village office can issue 50 KIAs while 200 KIAs in sub-district.

KIA issuance has been done routinely since two months ago.

"KIA form is ready stock and still available for now," he added.
