One of Puding Villagers of Kumpeh Sub-district, Muaro Jambi Regency, Yuni feels grateful since it rained from morning to afternoon.
"Alhamdulillah, rain that we are waiting for is now falling. Hopefully it can help the process of extinguishing forest and land fire in our village," she expressed, Wednesday (9/25).
City Set Up Health Post for Puding Village PeopleAccording to her, forest and land fire (karhutla) in her village disrupts resident's daily activities, even most residents are difficult to sleep because of smoke.
"We keep praying and hoping karhutla to end soon thus we can return to perform our usual activities without smoke," she said.
Meanwhile, Muaro Jambi Regent's Health Department Secretary, Yes Iman hopes rain to fall for several days thus hot spots could be extinguished well.
"We are grateful since this rain makes the air become colder and hopefully it can accelerate extinguishing process, especially to help Jakarta TPB Karhutla in doing their job," he conveyed.
