The Thousand Islands Environment Sub-agency held socialization on the formation of a waste management agency (LPS) towards local citizens in the Tidung Ceria RPTRA, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands.

Community Participation and Legal Structuring Division Head Ardian Prahara said the socialization is purposed to ensure that waste management runs according to Article 23 and 27, the Bylaw number 3/2013 on waste management.
"LPS will be formed in each RW to manage waste from collecting, sorting, processing up to final processing," he stated, Friday (27/9).
City to Form Waste Management Agency in Each RegionsThus far it has been applied in two RWs, namely RW 01 (Tidung Island) and RW 05 (Pramuka Island).
"Later on this waste bank will become part of the LPS organizational structure at the RW level," he stated.
