5,061 Underprivileged Students Receive KJMU

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, symbolically handed over the educational funding aid at university level through Jakarta Outstanding Student Card (KJMU) to 5,061 underprivileged students, on Monday (30/9).

This card is very helpful and useful for us from underprivileged families

Every student receives fund injection aid as much as Rp 9 million per semester or Rp 18 million in a year.

One of the KJMU beneficiaries, Reka Ben Alexis expressed the benefits are certainly keenly felt.

Education Agency Distributes 753 Excellent Student Cards

"This card is very helpful and useful for us from underprivileged families who wants to continue education to college," expressed Alexis, a third semester student at the University of Jakarta State (UNJ) from the Department of Fine Arts Education, at the Jakarta City Hall.

While another student, Early Radovan stated, to disburse the assistance fund by Rp 1.5 million per month is very easy.

"I prioritize this assistance for the needs of the thesis later. It lightened the burden on my parents," he expressed, a student from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Indonesia (UI).
