Forestry Department Revitalizes Two Parks in Jakarta with Grande Park Concept

Jakarta Forestry Department revitalizes Puring Park and Mataram Park with grande park concept at Kebayoran Baru Urban Village, South Jakarta.

These parks are revitalized using grande park concept

Jakarta Forestry Department's Park Planning Section Head, Hendrianto stated, it is called grande park concept because its has city service scale and its location is strategic within the city.

"These parks are revitalized using grande park concept and started since early September 2019. For information, Mataram Park is as wide as 0.8 hectares land while Puring Park is 1.3 hectares land," he explained, Wednesday (10/2).

He informed, Mataram Park is expected to be an urban park that accommodate temporary and transit activities with attractive features. While for Puring Park is expected to accommodate dynamic and creative activities for children and youth.

"Existing trees on both parks will be maintained. We only revitalized its facilities related to its pattern and material with better quality," he stated, Wednesday (10/2).

He mentioned, his side will install supporting facilities such as table tennis, outdoor fitness, and bioswale at Mataram Park. While in Puring Park, his side will install sport facilities for parkour, skateboard, inline skate, dry fountain, mini climbing, and huge playground.

"These parks represent the New Face of Jakarta because it has wide green space area and located at strategic spot in the city," he added.

He informed, revitalization cost for Mataram Park reaches Rp 6 billion and Rp 10 billion for Puring Park.

"Revitalization project on both parks is targeted to finish in December 2019," he conveyed.
