New Water Channel Construction on Jl. Komodor Targeted to Complete in December

The new water channel construction on Jalan Komodor Halim Perdanakusuma is targeted by East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department to finish in December.

We started building this channel from mid September and our target is to finish it in December

East Jakarta SDA Sub-department Head, Santo stated, this new water channel has length of 800 meters and expected to anticipate flood and inundation in the area.

"We started building this channel from mid September and our target is to finish it in December," he informed, Monday (10/7).

Previously, his side has coordinated with utility network owners such as PT. PLN, Telkom, PAM Jaya, Forestry Sub-department, Police, and East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department regarding the construction.

"In order to accelerate our work, we use two mini backhoe excavators to dig the ground," he mentioned.

According to him, this construction is divided into two stages. First is to cast the area with total height of 100 centimeters. Then, his side will install U-ditch with size 100x80 centimeters.  

"Its construction budget is combined with Kayu Putih PHB Channel's retaining wall construction with total Rp 38 billion," he said.
