Central Jakarta to Kick Off Enjoy Jakarta Walking Tour This Friday

The Central Jakarta administration is set to hold Enjoy Jakarta Walking Tour event on Friday (11/8). It is the first time with the target participants of the state civil apparatuses (ASN) in Central Jakarta.

In the future, we want this event to also be a means of tourism promotion that can be followed by the wider community

Central Jakarta Mayor Bayu Meghantara said the Enjoy Jakarta Walking Tour event will start from the mayor's office - National Museum - Sarinah area using the Transjakarta bus.

"Arriving in Sarinah area, we will visit a number of locations there," he expressed, Tuesday (10/8).

As the center of the country, the Central Jakarta region has a long history ranging from the proclamation of independence, the formulation of the proclamation until the Ikada Giant Meeting.

There are also various historic buildings located nearby, from the National Monument, National Museum, Istiqlal Mosque until Cathedral Church.

"These locations are indeed close and can be reached on foot while exercising. In the future, we want this event to also be a means of tourism promotion that can be followed by the wider community," he stated.
