322 Cubic Meters of Waste at Manggarai Sluice Gate Transported

The Jakarta Environment Agency is cleaning up waste the Manggarai Sluice Gate that comes from the Ciliwung River as the Katulampa Dam status reached alert II since Tuesday (10/8) evening.

Waste is dominated by tree branches, plastics and household wastes

Jakarta Environment Agency Head Andono Warih said more that 322 cubic meters of waste has been transported from the sluice gate.

"Waste is dominated by tree branches, plastics and household wastes. After that we dispose them to the Bantargebang Landfill," he expressed, Wednesday (10/9).

Waste Transported to Bantar Gebang Targeted to Be Reduced By 30 Percent

To transport them, his side has deployed one unit of liebherr crane and two units of long-arm excavator plus several personnel to monitor transportation process at the location.

"Our personnel are on standby 24 hours," he said.
