Hundreds of Pulogadung Mothers Participate in Cullinary Art Training

Hundreds of mothers from Pulogadung Sub-district, Matraman, Duren Sawit, Cakung and Jatinegara are participating in the cullinary art training held by the East Jakarta Social Sub-agency.

It is held to eradicate poverty and create entrepreneurs from all walks of life

It is held at the Sasana Krida Karang Taruna Building (SKKT), Pisangan Timur Urban Village and will end on Friday (10/11).

Social Protection and Poor Countermeasures Section Head Abdul Salam disclosed training is participated by locals registered in the Integrated Database (BDT) recorded by the Jakarta Social Agency's Information Data Center (Pusdatin).

"It is held to eradicate poverty and create entrepreneurs from all walks of life," he expressed, Wednesday (10/9).

During three days, they are trained to make various cakes and dishes. There are five types of cakes made in practice, namely rose steamed sponge cake, brown sugar steamed sponge cake, putu ayu, steamed brownies and egg-eye pudding. As for the type of cooking, namely soy sauce chicken and ayam geprek (crushed crispy chicken with sambal).

"Hopefully they can open a business in their respective homes and can become new entrepreneurs," he hoped.
