Legislator from Hubei Visited Jakarta DPRD to Learn APBD Review Mechanism

Legislator from National People Congress Standing Committee (KTRN) of Hubei Province, Republic of China conducted work visit to Jakarta Council (DPRD) on Thursday (10/10).

Today's meeting is very insightful

This work visit is done to learn about Jakarta City Budget (APBD) review mechanism.

Hubei KTRN's Financial and Economy Committee Chairperson, Zhen Jian Qiao stated, Jakarta's budget review mechanism is similar to Hubei Province, starts from economy growth plan validation process, discussion with related committee and executives, and amendment stage up to audit by financial audit agency.

"Function of legislative oversight is also the same. The difference is, in Jakarta there are 106 legislators while in KTRN there are 1,719 members whose formations are formed based on quotas from each fields or representatives such as, labors, military, farmers, and others," he conveyed, Jakarta DPRD Building on Jalan Kebon Sirih, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

He explained that his purpose is to learn about Jakarta DPRD's method in issuing regional regulations, start from its planning, implementation, and monitoring.

"Today's meeting is very insightful. This afternoon, we will go directly to Tokyo. Thank you, we are very welcomed in here," he expressed.

In the other hand, Council Secretariat Trial Section Head, Heru Wiyanto stated, KTRN also appreciates Jakarta DPRD councilors who have been elected by Jakartans in Legislative election process.

"They also appreciate Jakarta Government achievement for receiving Unqualified Opinion (WTP) report from BPK two years in a row," he mentioned.
