Jakarta Provincial Government issued various type of cards to improve social welfare of Jakarta citizens. Those cards are distributed for underprivileged citizens to ease them fulfilling their daily necessities.
Total recipients of the first phase of Jakarta Disability Card are 7,137 people
Within two years of Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan's leadership, government extends the range of card receivers. In total, around 1,107,000 people own the cards. It is given for students, underprivileged elderly, workers with minimum salary, and people with disability.
The newest card issued is Jakarta Disability Card for people with disability which launched on August 28, 2019 by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan.
Two Years of Anies Baswedan Serving as GovernorThis program's purpose is to prevent social vulnerability for Jakarta citizens with disability as well as to facilitate them to meet their basic needs.
Related to this program, Jakarta Government cooperates with Bank DKI to distribute financial assistance of Rp 300,000 per person per month that can be disbursed once every three months.
Those who get Jakarta Disability Cards are Jakarta citizens who have been registered in Integrated Data Base (BDT) with
Jakarta Provincial Population Identification Number (NIK) who are disabled and not a part of government or regional social houses."Total recipients of the first phase of Jakarta Disability Card are 7,137 people from total 14,459 people registered in BDT. In detail, 1,042 people from Central Jakarta, 1,322 people from North Jakarta, 1,018 people from West Jakarta, 1,361 people from South Jakarta, 2,352 people from East Jakarta, and 42 people from Thousand Islands," informed Irmansyah, Jakarta Social Department Head as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Conference, Tuesday (10/15).
In education sector, Jakarta Government not only facilitates students, but also college students through Jakarta Mahasiswa Unggul or Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU).
KJMU target is expanded in 2020 through Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 97/2019, where KJMU is not only for underprivileged college students who study in state universities (PTN)s under Kemenristekdikti and Kemenag, but also private universities (PTS)s.
PTS that collaborates with KJMU should have A accreditation, both for its institution and study program. Here are those 11 PTS in Jakarta:

Meanwhile, Jakarta Government also expands its cooperation with total 90 PTNs in Indonesia. Total KJMU recipients for academic year 2018/2019 are 5,061 college students in 90 PTNs. In detail, 3,627 college students study in 6 PTNs in Jakarta while 1,434 college students study in 84 PTNs outside of Jakarta.
From 2016 to 2019, total KJMU recipients and PTN cooperated with Jakarta Government increases significantly; 594 students in 46 PTN (2016); 2,191 students in 68 PTNs (2017); 4,542 student in 85 PTNs (2018); and 5,061 students in 90 PTNs (2019).
Each KJMU recipient gets financial assistance as much as Rp 9 million per semester, including single tuition, that is provided through debiting from Bank DKI. With this facility, recipients can use their card to buy books and take the cash for their daily necessities.
